Αποτελεί ένα από τα ωραιότερα garage τραγούδια που κυκλοφόρησαν στα μέσα της δεκαετίας του ’60 και ένα από τα λίγα με τον catchy pop ρυθμό που θα τους επέτρεπε να έχουν εμπορική επιτυχία.
Αν και η πρώτη του εκτέλεση ανήκει στους The Brogues, η σημερινή διασκευή έδωσε μεγαλύτερη φήμη στο κομμάτι (αξίζει να αναφέρουμε πως δύο μέλη των The Brogues έπειτα εντάχθηκαν στους Quicksilver Messenger Service).
Ίσως το μυστικό της επιτυχίας των Chocolate Watchband έγκειται στο γεγονός ότι προσέθεσαν αρκετά στοιχεία ψυχεδέλειας που έλειπαν από την πρώτη εκτέλεση, τόσο με την τρεμάμενη κιθάρα στην εισαγωγή και στις γέφυρες μεταξύ κουπλέ και ρεφρέν αλλά και με τις κραυγές του φωνητικά χαρισματικού frontman τους Danny Phay.
