@ Σαν σήμερα, 11 Νοεμβρίου του 1927 γεννήθηκε ο πιανίστας και τραγουδιστής της blues/jazz, ο Αμερικανός Mose Allison (Mose Allison John Allison Jr όπως είναι το πλήρες όνομά του). Πατρίδα του αποτελεί το Τίπο του Μισισίπι. Αναθρεμμένος σε μια τόσο φημισμένη για την μουσική της περιοχή δεν μπόρεσε να ξεφύγει από τον κανόνα και τις επιρροές του Blues.
@ Με την σειρά του αποτέλεσε μεγάλη επιρροή για εμβληματικούς καλλιτέχνες όπως οι Rolling Stones, ο Jimi Hendrix, οι Yardbirds, οι The Who και αρκετοί ακόμα. Χαρακτηριστικότερο παράδειγμα αποτελεί ο Van Morrison ο οποίος κυκλοφόρησε ως φόρο τιμής προς τον Mose Allison ένα ολόκληρο άλμπουμ με τραγούδια του με τίτλο: Tell me Something: The Songs of Mose Allison.
@ Άκρως ευαισθητοποιημένος καλλιτέχνης. Συχνά εξέφραζε την ανησυχία του για την ολοένα και αυξανόμενη θέση των χρημάτων στην ανθρώπινη ζωή, την απογοήτευση του για την υποκρισία που περιφέρεται μέσα στην κοινωνία και τους πολέμους που δεν λένε να κοπάσουν.
